Monarch butterfly

This morning when we arrived at school we noticed that the chrysalis that Kate and Grace's nana had give us had hatched!
We were going to let it free in the garden at morning tea time but it was trying to get out the window. We opened the window and away it flew. We hope it has found some flowers to feed on.

Mixing Colours

This afternoon the Te Ika a Maui class learned about mixing colours with Miss Tod.

Cinderella

This afternoon everybody enjoyed a very funny production of Cinderella, performed by the Hagley Theatre company. It was similar to the story we know but the ending was quite different.

Kapa Haka

This morning we went to the library to learn Kapa Haka with Matua Norm. Whaea Keri showed us the action while Matua Norm played his guitar and sang.

Well done Room 3!

Today at assembly Mrs Sjoberg gave every class a Principal's Award for their great start to 2014! The children in Room 3 certainly deserve theirs as they have all been working well and are very respectful learners!
