Floral Demonstation

This afternoon Mrs Sjoberg demonstrated how to create a floral sand-saucer.
She gave us lots of ideas to think about when we create our own. The first idea was to think about patterns. Mrs Sjoberg had a variety of leaves and foliage including herbs. She also showed us some of the different types of flowers we could use. We could also use other natural things like shells.

Another Walk to Malvern Park

Today after morning tea we walked to Malvern Park so we could look at and talk about Autumn leaves. Everyone at school is going to write a recount and we needed to get our ideas ready. There is a video of us throwing leaves in the Media Gallery.

This afternoon all the Te Ika a Maui and Te Waka a Maui children walked down to Malvern Park to see if they could identify a horse chestnut tree. They all collected lots of chestnuts!

Unleavened Bread

On Tuesday we made unleavened bread during Religious Education because we are learning that when we celebrate the Eucharist we are remembering what Jesus did at the Last Supper.
There are more photos in the Media Gallery.
